TitleCoupling Bioenergy Crops and Precision Conservation to Enhance Farming Profitability and Environmental Integrity in Dryland and Irrigated Systems
Project Leader
Activities
  1. Assess within-farm optimal spatial distribution of crops and crop rotation to maximize grain and biomass productivity and minimize offsite/onsite environmental impacts.
  2. Provide simulated data on the spatial variation of soil carbon storage or loss across the landscape within a farm.
  3. Estimate turnover rate of soil carbon and humification rate in Blackland Soils.
  4. Measure and model spatial variation of nitrous oxide emission in irrigated and dryland cropping areas of central Texas.
