Professional Interests

Stephen joined the Grazingland Animal Nutrition Lab (CNRIT) in 2005. Before CNRIT, Stephen worked in biological research within the Texas A&M University Comparative Medicine Program as well as with the Food and Feed Safety Unit of the Southern Plains Agricultural Research Center, USDA ARS. Stephen serves the clientele of the lab though overseeing the daily operations of the lab as well as providing nutritional consultations with the NIRS/NUTBAL system. He also works to expand the capabilities of the lab and the NIRS technology by working on the development of our portable NIRS system and providing NIRS training for CNRIT's international projects in Mongolia, Afghanistan and Mali.
