Professional Interests

Dr. Aziz Abouabdillah (Ph.D., Tuscia University, Italy) conducts hydrologic and environmental research to assess the impacts of agricultural and natural resource systems.  Work conducted focuses on development of a new algorithm to simulate rainfall-runoff, water availability, soil erosion and best management practices related to oil and gas as well as other agricultural operations, and other watershed and farm scale modeling applications using SWAT and APEX models.

Aziz has worked for the Water Research Institute, National Research Council (IRSA-CNR, Bari, Italy) for four years. He participated in carrying out many European projects (Aquastress, Mirage, Climatewater) that deal with water resources management and climate change in semi-arid environments and those in the Mediterranean area.
