Research Interests
Strengthening the scientific basis for identifying and assessing watershed/water quality impairment, agricultural sustainability concerns and natural resource impacts resulting from changing climate, land use, or management practices is the focus of my research activities. Core responsibilities involve developing strategies to mitigate negative environmental effects or potential impacts through coordinated solutions which unite science, education, and community involvement. My scientific pursuits are centered where the boundaries of hydrology, landscape processes, policy analysis, and environmental informatics intersect. Professional interests and skills include a trans-disciplinary approach to problem solving, relational database design, geospatial analysis, and expert application of watershed and biophysical models.
