Station 2 - Cowhouse Creek at Georgetown Road
This location is known as Jackson Crossing. The bridge road base is approximately 30 ft above the stream bottom while the paved low water crossing is just 10 feet above the channel bottom. Small precipitation events frequently produce enough runoff to cover the low water crossing, threatening traffic. The bridge is not safe for vehicle traffic and has been permanently closed since the 1980's. The photo below is included for scale. Note the size of the bulldozers clearing debris.
