RESEARCH INTERESTS
Integration and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with biophysical simulation models and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) are the leading responsibilities of my research interests. This integrated system of tools has been applied from small watersheds to continental scale. I am also working on development of a Rural Public Health Information System using GIS, RDBMS and Internet/WWW protocols. This system is helping to analyze rural health, socio-economic, demographic and environmental information both spatially and temporarily. This technology has been applied to natural resources and hydrologic modeling. I am also working with a multi-discipline, multi-agency diversified team of scientists in addition to various natural, environmental and health related problems.
