RESEARCH INTERESTS
The agricultural economics research program evaluates emerging and conventional farm production/management alternatives; their costs, income and relative profitability. Research in the recent past has emphasized the economic feasibility of new and innovative cropping systems involving alternative tillage systems and best management practices. A thrust of the program at present integrates the use of precision agriculture technology with environmental issues. A multidisciplinary research program has been developed wherein the economic analyses are based on research results of scientists in engineering, agronomy, weed science, entomology and other disciplines.
